Unsafe Slick Porch Finish

At this San Antonio area home the Porch areas had a slick (smooth), non textured finish, which is unsafe, slippery when wet. On regular concrete this is easily accomplished with a broom finish at concrete pour. Any exterior exposed concrete or flatwork areas should have a textured, rough finish.  As you can see in the photo the stone finish on the walkway accomplishes that.
